Falling Numbers

In recent years, the field of neurosurgery has experienced a decline in case volume, largely due to the growing prevalence of alternative treatment modalities. As a result, the complexity of the remaining surgical cases has intensified, with only the most intricate and difficult procedures being performed.

Skill Gap

This shift has led to a critical challenge: fewer surgeons are gaining hands-on experience, which limits the opportunities for junior surgeons to acquire the necessary skills. Conversely, those with limited surgical exposure may struggle to handle increasingly complex cases.

New Approaches

To address this growing concern, Dr. Neyazi and the CIRÉ team are pioneering innovative solutions to bridge this gap. Through the implementation of advanced phantom simulation models and cutting-edge research initiatives, we are enhancing educational programs to ensure that the next generation of neurosurgeons gains the expertise required to navigate these complex procedures.

Future Focus

Dr. Neyazi’s leadership is instrumental in advancing both surgical practice and the ongoing development of neurosurgical training. His efforts ensure that future specialists are well-prepared for the challenges ahead, maintaining high standards in neurosurgical education and practice.
